My males and a beef soup that likes tomatoes.

Mon Jan 26, 2009, 9:31 AM
Not too long ago, I had a significant aha experience. I realised that I am, in fact, pretty much surrounded by males most of the time. Not that I'm complaining about that - they are, after all, quite useful.

My beautiful, cranberry red mobilephone JAMES travels with me where-ever I go and cheers me up with his enjoyable ringing tone. Please don't hurt he's feelings by telling that red is a feminine colour. He has some self-esteem issues from time to time.

My handsome, reliable laptop BOB is always waiting for me at home and he's ready to help no matter what time it is. I fell totally in love with him the moment he arrived. He's such a beaty and works better than I ever imagined.

I'm not quite sure, but I have a strong feeling that I should name my mp3-player as well.

I'd also like to bring up another subject. I'm not quite sure what to think of the new school food. "Beef soup that likes tomatoes"? That made my week, really. I don't know about other people, but I find it rather disturbing when I'm provided with food that actually likes someting... It's kind of scary when food becomes this humane.
However, I'm not quite sure whether to be confused or amused by this. Probably amused.

Ok, I'll remember. - And in general I always say something to the person's work.
[Though it was difficult for me to say something to your work. Your pics are really cute, yay! - I should have said this. You're right there. But your literature ... I don't speak any Finnish :depressed:, and to be honest your only English story looked a bit too long for me, I don't read (that much), sorry. :worry:

Nevertheless thanks for the compliments! :D ... Btw: I try to be careful: If the random deviant seems to be someone who shows art that I don't like because it hurts (I already had this) or whose site is suggestive of not liking such comments ... I skip those people. ;)

My pics are cute? Thank you. ^^ I have to say that although I really like art, I don't think I'm too good at creating it... ^^; Honestly saying, my passion is actually writing, but as English is not my native language, I haven't been able to post too many of my works. In addition to that, I have been rather busy with school and such for quite a long time already (matriculation examinations, you see), so I haven't had much time or energy to be creative. Hopefully I will have more time during the summer. ^^

By the way, today I had a bit more time to go through your gallery. I think you should definitely continue photographing. ^^ I especially enjoyed the photos of nature and flowers (annoyingly girly, aren't I? ><;; ). Keep up the good work. ^^
I'm very busy with school at the moment, too. :dohtwo: ... Ohhh, summer!!! Then are holidays again, yay. :boogie: ... and after these holidays (in August) there'll be a (gorgeous) school trip - with people I really like - to Rome. :w00t!: Hopefully I'll take some good shots there (besides having a great time). I can't await it! :aww: ... take your time with art, school is important. ;)

Thank you very much for the compliments. Photography can be fun. Though even yesterday I thought whether I should have a go at digital art, too. :) ... but too little time for drawing attempts now, maybe when there isn't that much to do for school.

And you're definitely NOT annoying! :) ... By the way, I think the word you were looking for is "annoying", without the "ly". ^^

School trip to Rome? Wow, sounds great. ^^ I've never been to Rome, but I have heard that it's an amazing city. I have visited Italy once, last autumn when I stayed in Milan for a few days. Milan was a beautiful city too, but I think visiting lake Como was the best part of our trip. If you will ever go near Milan, you should definitely go and see the lake. I'm sure you'd find quite a lot to photograph. Of course, you will quite surely be inspired by Rome too. ^^

I myself have nothing special to wait for. I'm studying for the university entrance exams now, but whether or not I will be accepted remains to be seen... If I won't, then I will try again next year and spend this year working and studying. I'd like to travel a little bit too, as it's always great to see new places, experience different cultures and meet exciting people. ^^

As for the "annoyingly girly" part, I have to say that I do believe I wrote that one correctly. ^^; You see, the adjective here is the word "girly" and "annoyingly" is an adverb. So, the meaning isn't "I'm annoying", it's "I'm so girly that it's annoying". ^^; The meaning behind this: In reality, I have to say that I don't consider myself too girly(who am I to judge myself though .___.;; ), so me liking flowers and other romantic girl stuff is weird, at least for me.
But anyway, thank you for pointing this out; I tend to make typos and sometimes even grammar errors if I'm thinking or writing too fast, so it's always great when someone takes time to point them out to me. Even if it's not a real error. ^^ Oh, and please don't get me wrong. I'm not mocking you in any way! I really am grateful of every piece of advise, whether I decide to take it or not. ^^
I'm very sorry, I overlooked the "y" behind "girl". ^^; ... sometimes I'm too fast, too. :(

And thank you for writing back, I really appreciate it! :) I think Milan is a bit too far away from Rome, but I'll keep it in mind! :aww:

May I ask what you are (trying to) going to study? ^^
